A lot of people seem to have this bizarre notion that modern day vampyres somehow resemble those you find in the movies–translucent skin, (edit: with the exception of the second picture from the left on the second row, because my dear Daley likes to photoshop ALL of her myspace photos…) bizarrely colored eyes, fangs, etc. But this couldn’t be further from the truth. Modern day vampyres are young, old, men, women, “goth kids,” “jocks,” business men, mothers; the list goes on. And, thanks to a few of my wonderful friends, and those so willing to put themselves “out there” as modern day vampyres, I can show you.
Although I did promise to withhold names for privacy purposes, the people you are seeing are real people, ordinary people, and amazing people, who are modern day vampyres.

Definately interesting. I’m much too shy to contribute my own pictures to your bit, but, I’ll at least vouch for us in the fact that we aren’t stereotypical pale nightwalking monsters. Raah.

I have just read your blog and I will too share with you that I am also a vampire, i am not a psycic vamp. but a blood drinker. I actaually go through physical cravings for it and if I don’t feed my hunger then I do become very lathargic and moody. I have a donor who isn’t like me but she is totally excepting of my nature. She is my girlfriend and also she is a very powerful soul and feeding from her blood gives me such a euphroric high and in a way I am taking in her power. There is nothing else like it in the worl, no drug could ever compare to the wide range of emotions, spiritual freedoms, or power. I would subit a photo for you but am unable to at this point due to errors in my camera. But I would be more than happy to at a later time. But I am here to tell others that we do exist and that we are very normal people who live normal lives.
well i won’t post my pic yet cuz some people are not open-minded about this stuff especially cuz i live in a place with a generally conservative culture espcly abt this stuff but yeah m gonna agree that don’t fit the hollywood stereotype in terms of looks.
i read someone’s blog where some ppl admitted they were vamps on this show, they looked like normal people(which is accurate) but i kinda got irritated cuz the blogger said(if it is true) that those poeple admitted2 sleeping in coffins. eew smells fake.

I was looking up research on vampires curious about them in general and found this sight. Please forgive my lack of knowledge. What are modern day vampires exactly? are they like the mythologies of old or people who enjoy the taste of blood?
I may have more questions depending on the response to this post. Thank you for your patience with me.
I am truly interested in finding out about this particular culture.
