You Are What You Eat

I’d never thought of it before I read an article by Stellacat at Aquilus, but she’s absolutely right.  Feeding is vital in the life of any psychic vampyre, it’s true.  But–so is eating.

I know it sounds like a no brainer, but with our generation’s growing adoration for fast food–we aren’t really “nourishing” our bodies anymore, let alone our energy and chakras.  Again, I hadn’t thought about it before, but everything we consume holds energy, and has an “energy imprint.”  Basically, it holds energy in the form of nutrients, it holds the energy of the animal it came from (if it’s meat), the energy of the people who handled it before it got to you.

So–think about it.  Where did your food come from before it got to you?  Pardon me for being extreme, but the reality is, a lot of animals that are slaughtered for food are treated terribley inhumanely and all of the emotions, fear, pain, etc. that they felt before they were killed remains in the meat.  (Wow, morbid, sorry, but you get the idea.)  Think about all the hands of all the people that handled that apple, or all the processing those canned vegetables went through.

The purer, the cleaner the food, the better and more positive the energy, and the better the energy for you.  According to Stellacat, “…when you eat a poor diet, you have excess fat which leads to higher cholesterol, which leads to higher blood pressure, which causes poor circulation, and if your blood isn’t flowing properly this affects your over all energy levels. How open can your chakras be if your blood isn’t flowing properly? All your body’s systems work together including your energy centers. It is vital that we keep our chakras healthy and are open to accepting energy from other sources than food.”

Basically–if your energy circulation if hindered by a terrible diet, it closes down your chakras which also prevents you from being able to take in and process energy to its fullest extent while you’re feeding–this leads to you being hungry more often, feeding more often, and just not feeling your best.

So–you want to nourish your body, energy, and soul?  Me too!  So, I took the liberty of finding some good foods specifically to help open up your chakras and help your energy circulate better.  A fellow blogger divided them up into the best foods for each individual chakra. (Thank you fellow blogger.)

Root Chakra: tofu, carrots, beans, potatoes, meats, parsnips, eggs, radishes, garlic and beets

Sacral Chakra: mangos, almonds, melons, cinnamon and honey

Solar Plexus: cereals, cheese, flax seed, ginger, milk, and mints

Heart Chakra: thyme, sage, spinach, basil, broccoli and green teas

Throat Chakra: apples, kiwi, lemons, lemon grass, limes, plums, pears and salt

Third Eye Chakra: blueberries, red grapes, black berries, lavender, and poppy seed

Crown Chakra: sage, copal, myrrh, frankincense, and juniper

Not to mention, eating these foods, drinking these drinks, and using these spices will not only help open up and ground your chakras, but will help with other things while you’re at it.  For example, feeding your solar plexus will help raise your self-esteem, feeding your heart chakra helps heal emotional upsets, your throat chakra allows you to speak your truth, and your crown chakra helps open and clear spiritual communication.

And don’t forget to always be conscious of where the food is coming from.  Food from the local or farmer’s market is of course handled by less people, processed far less, and generally more organic and better for you.

If you still want to know more foods to help nourish your body and help circulate your energy, there are a few sites that have great lists and advice on using food to do just that:

Law of Attraction

I had a lot of things I wanted to talk about, but since my night ended on this note, and it seems to be a recurring theme in my life lately, I figured I’d give everyone my two cents. 🙂

It’s called the law of attraction:  What you think is what you create.

Most people pass it off as a bunch of hokey, but I’m serious about how real it is.  I was just speaking to a friend who from time to time approaches me about the woes in his life.  Mainly, they are focused on one girl.  I do my best to console him, give him a good dose of optimism, but it always seems he comes back just hours or days later completely void of hope.

He’ll say things like “I’ll never get her.”  “I’ve lost hope, I ruined everything.”  “I was never going to get her, I don’t know what I was thinking.”

And you know what?

…He gets exactly what he asks for.  He does not get her, and he gets further from getting her everyday that he spews this (excuse my language) bullshit about being doomed and being hopeless.

Now, in the same version of this story, about three or four years ago with different people, the guy in this position took charge, began thinking things like “She will realize that she’s in love with me,”  “I deserve her and she deserves me,” “I always get what I want,” etc etc.  It took a while, sure, but they’ve now been together for 2 years and are engaged to be married. (*cough* Day and Matt)

Everyone has their moments of doubt, but constant doubt and hopelessness will manifest itself just as it exists in your mind.  Even a simple phrase such as “I’m so sick of this,” when the feeling is so potent, can make you physically ill.  (Trust me, it’s exactly what happened to me a couple of years ago.)

Short on money?  Believe you have an abundance of money and you will.

Painfully single?  Imagine love and you will have it.

No seriously, it’s as simple as that.  …I’m giving it my best shot in my own life and I’ll let you know how it goes, because cash is a serious issue to this minimum wage paid college student. 😛

And on a completely unrelated side note:  I’m thinking about writing a novel…what do you think?

Luna – A Psychic Reading

UPDATE: Leslie actually wrote about this reading in her blog too! Check it out!

People think about ghosts and spirits around them as humans all the time, but what about spirits from another demension?

I was extremely priviledged today to talk to Leslie Draper, who’s blog I’ve been following for a few weeks now. She’s an amazingly talented psychic, and after getting advice on getting in touch with my spiritual guides, meditating, etc. through comments for a while, she agreed to give me some more in depth information through e-mail, and I’ve never met a psychic, and I’ve met a lot, who could give me such specific information and vivid visuals.

I asked her if she could help me identify my spirit guides to help me with meditation, and boy did she. She introduced me to Luna, named such since she is not a spirit in human form with a human name, so she gave me this one to call her. As Leslie put it, she’s from another dimension entirely. It caught me off guard too–but after thinking about it for a little while, that’s actually really amazing! …And at the same time makes the universe feel that much bigger.

She described her as very very strong, she would “blaze in” say her piece and then be gone, leaving no room for Leslie to ask her questions. Sounds like she has quite the attitude, haha.

But, something that caught me off guard was the fact that Luna continued to mention “the stars” as in I would find her in the stars either in real life or in my dreams. Leslie clarified that I had a celestial connection, and that Luna was it. Which would explain my connection to the moon, stars, and celestial bodies. Even the personal symbol I’d chosen for myself (long story) was a crescent moon and a star (or three, depending). It was one heck of a validation.

She told me other things, what her voice sounds like (it echoes), what color her energy is (blue), and lastly that “she will make her presence known” which makes me nervous, but even more-so excited. I feel like doors have opened up to me in communicating with spirits, at least my own, which I’ve been trying and wanting to do for years now.

After the first part of the reading Leslie said: “ WOW! She was an impressive guide. [My spirit guide] was the only guide I’ve ever spoken to from another dimension before. Clearly, they are not from the same place. {Mine] is soft spoken and kind of “in the background.” [Luna] was much louder and sort of “in your face.” She is a very powerful guide. You are lucky that she has chosen you.”

Even better, she helped me understand some things which I already kind of knew to be true, but were validated by her through her messages, which you all know is my favorite. 😀

All of her stuff is really worth checking out, she has a beautiful outlook on life, and some amazing stories about psychic encounters she’s had. Thanks again, Leslie!!

Psychic Vampyres and Indigos

I always seem to find things to write about when I’m looking for something COMPLETELY opposite to tell you about, so I’ll just have to keep “controlling empathy” for another day. I found a fellow blog on “Indigos,” people described as having a deeper connection to the Universe than the average person. It’s eerie how many similarities there are between Modern Day Vampyres and Indigos.

Now, keep in mind this is only based on the the group I belong to, since I know them inside and out and can hardly say that about any other vampyres around me. But I also found a relatively accurate list of modern day vampire characteristics at VAU. Anyway, here’s a few highlights, the full list of Indigo characteristics can be found here.

Characteristics of a Vampyre
from personal experience and VAU

  • Interference with electronics (i.e. watches stopping, batteries dying, street lights going out)
  • The feeling of being different/separate from others on some intuitive level
  • You feel sometimes you belong in a different time period or even world.
  • High intuition or innate psychic abilities (premonitions, seeing ghosts, etc.)
  • Very intense empathy
  • Getting along with animals and/or nature with more ease than other human beings
  • People often feel uncomfortable with your intensity
  • Intense need for physical contact
  • Are happiest and healthiest when energy is “balanced”
Characteristics of an Indigo
quoted from Indigo Life Center

  • May be electrically sensitive such as watches not working and street lights going out as you move under them, electrical equipment malfunctioning and lights blowing out.
  • Feel like they could be one of the characters on the 1980’s television series “The Misfits of Science” or one of the young people in Xavier’s school for the gifted in the recent movies from the comic books “The X-Men.”
  • Know in their heart and core that they are here “on a mission” but many don’t remember what that is or how to go about it.
  • Have had psychic experiences, such as premonitions, seeing angels or ghosts, out of body experiences, hearing voices.
  • Have deep empathy for others, yet an intolerance of stupidity.
  • Many times get along better with animals and nature than people.
  • Shut down psychic abilities because it scares people.
  • Have what I endearingly term H.D.D. or “Hug Deficit Disorder” and need immense amounts of physical touching, hugs, and love to “cuddle.”
  • When they find balance they may become very strong, healthy, happy individuals.

Please check out the whole lists of vampyre characteristics at VAU and indigo characteristics and ILC. They’re SUPER interesting, I just don’t have enough room for them here.

Also, I realize that many Indigos have a strong disdain for “psychic vampyres” due to beliefs of the energetic damage they cause as well as their malicious intent. I would like to assure those people that one–that blanket does not lie over all psychic vampyres, and also that I mean no offense by any comparisons I make. Thank you!
