Promos – I Am Ghost

It’s another band shout out this time–for I Am Ghost!

I would try and classify them in a genre, but I’m convinced that it’s not entirely possible.  You just have to trust me that they’re amazing…

Over the past few years Day, Matt, and I have become pretty close friends with these guys and they continue to blow our minds ever ytime they make their way through Texas on tour.  But, the reason I’m promoting them now, is because:

1) They just had a MAJOR line-up change, with their new drummer Justin and guitarist Chad.  (Who are both amazing, and Justin is a video game fetishist which I can totally relate to. :P)

2) They have a new album coming out Oct. 7th that’s darker, more melodic, and more amazing than anything I’ve heard come from this band.

We got the privilege of getting to hear the unfinished/unmastered copy and I can’t even begin to describe how great it is.  They’ve gone a completely new direction with their sound just like they’ve done with their members, and it definitely worked out for the best (which is more than I can say for some other bands out there…)

But, if you want to hear one song from the new cd, they posted one of the tracks “Bone Garden” on their myspace.

Anyway, check ’em out, and definitely pick up “Those We Leave Behind” on Oct. 7th!
